September Vacations

The 18th of september we celebrate our first government meeting. It's very important for us, because it's the first step our country took to be independent. My school gave us one week of vacations, and I spent them on the countryside, with my entire family, including my cousins, uncles and grandparents. I went to my grandparent´s house. They have a lovely countryside, it’s like a farm but much bigger and full of animals, wheat, oats and many other things. We had a lot of fun and made many chilean things. We chased chickens and oiled pigs, played “rayuela” and ate empanadas. We had a great time!

Chile and the world cup

The world cup is played every four years, and always in different countries. This time it’s in South Africa. I don’t like football very much, but now, I think it’s very interesting, and specially because Chile is playing. It’s really exciting! We haven’t play in the world cup since 1998, and that year, we didn’t win any match. Last Wednesday, the 16th, we played against Honduras, and we scored one goal! That goal was from Beausejour., and he made us win. We were so happy!! I saw it at school, with all my friends, and we do the same this Monday, the 21st. and we won again!! But this time, the goal was from Mark Gonzales, and the match was against Switzerland. Tomorrow we have to play against Spain, and I’m a little bit worried, because they’re really good. But I trust my team. And if we win this match, we’ll pass to second round! Go Chile!!

Clothes

For me, the way I look is very important. I love to go shopping and buy lots of clothes. I like to look good all the time, it doesn’t matter if I don’t have to go out of my house. When I go to an elegant event, I use a dress or skirt with high heels and lots of accessories, and when I go partying with my friends, I usually wear tight jeans with a colorful top. I could never use something that’s too tight, because that wouldn’t be comfortable for me, and that’s the most important thing on fashion. You must look well, but with things that fits on your body.
I’ll describe my look as unusual, my friends always tell me that I wear original clothes that no one else could use. For example, I have a fashionable hairy jacket that’s amazing! I just love it, but some people say me that when I try it on, I look like a dog. But I don’t care. It’s my style, and nothing can change it.
I think I have an obsession with hairy, pink and sparkly things. I love everything that sparks. For me, nothing’s spark enough. Of course, I don’t use lots of sparkling things, because that wouldn’t look fashionable.
Something I could never use would be jogging trousers. They’re good when you do sport, but not for hang out with your friends. They’re awful!!

My ideal house

My ideal house would be big, because I want to have a big family. Maybe one between a bungalow and a mansion. Not amazingly big, and with lots of light, because I think that the light makes a house cozier. I want to have maybe 6 or 7 children, so I need something like 6 bedrooms and 2 or 3 bathrooms. I want a house of stone, but with wood on the inside. Not too modern, but with original things. The living room should have a chimney, a glass table on the centre and one or two sofas. In the dining room, I want to have a big wooden table for my whole family, and lots of chairs. On the table, I want to have a big vase with lots of flowers. I want a big kitchen ,because I love to cook. It should be full with kitchen supplies. My bedroom should be the biggest one, of course. I want a big bed and a walking closet for me and my husband (but a bigger side for me) It should have a plasma on a wall, and two night tables, and maybe one or two armchairs. On the other bedrooms I want to put one or two beds, a night table and a closet. All these things full of colors.

My favorite book

I love to read, I'm always reading a book. Recently, I've read the books Treason and The Host. They're amazing!! The Host is about the future. A universe with different worlds governed by the souls. It's a little bit strange and original too. I love it!! Specially because it's very big, about 900 pages, and I love to read long books. The plot is a soul named Wanderer that introduced herself into the body of a girl named Melanie. Melanie tries to fight to stays inside her body, and at the beginning, she hates Wanderer. But after some time, they become great friends and have lots of adventures together. I recommend this book a lot, everyone should read it!

My worst illness

In January, while I was dancing at the disco, I had a neumotorax. It's a strange disease that happens to some people that born with "bubbles" in the lungs. It's very dangerous too. The pain is unbearable and you start to drown. I went to the hospital immediately and I was operated. They took me a piece of lung and put me a tube into the lung for three days. It was awful! I stayed at the hospital two days in the UTI and three in the UCI. Now, I have to take many cautions, for example, I can't take a cold, cause if I caugh, the woung of the loung could open.

Letter to the director of a newspaper

Dear Sir,
Every morning I read your newspaper and your news always concerned me, specially the ones that talk about violence. This morning, for example, I've read one that talks about a murderer of a young boy by his little brother of sixteen. I found it terrible! They were fighting for the playstation, and the youngest one took a knife and killed his brother!! I just can't believe it. Could you realize that this is our world right now? I think we MUST do something immediately. The videogames are so violent, and they aren't good for the children. They show them bad things that they mimic at home. Right now, they just play with them. The kids should do more things, like go walking, play cards, read a book, or anything that’s not related with videogames or TV. Please, we need ideas and advices to stop this now. It’s time to do something.

My ideal wedding

Since I was a child I have always dream with a big wedding underwater. The perfect place would be a coral reef in Australia's sea. My dress should be a white and big Vera Wang with sparkles and white flowers on the top. The priest, family, groom and friends will be underwater too. We will breath with oxygen tanks. The reception will be in the Sahara's dessert for only a few people (just 487). We will eat roast camel with mashed peanut and pineapple's sauce. Then we'll drink green tea and dance celtic music. The honey moon will be in the town Peor es nada. I LOVE that place because it's very optimist!

And the most important thing...my husband would be George Clooney because his smile is very nice.

A simple introduction

Hi! My name is Isidora Eyzaguirre, I'm 15 years old. My birthday is on may 11th and I live in Santiago- Chile. I'm very interested in sport, books and fashion. I love to go shopping with my friends, listen to music, play the guitar and go jogging. My family is not too big nor too small. We are three girls and two boys. I'm the oldest. After me goes Dominga, she is 14 years old and I'm very close to her. Manuela, Diego and Clemente are the youngest, they are 9, 8 and 4 years old. I have three dogs, 2 bulldogs, Bono and Waffle, and 1 Cairn terrier, Ron.
